Get help accessing benefits that may put money in your pocket. Organizations will be onsite to help you:
- Open a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and apply for the Canada Learning Bond to access free money for post-secondary school.
- Get a Social Insurance Number (SIN), birth certificate, and other forms of identification.
- Get your taxes filed to unlock benefits you may be eligible to receive. Must have a modest income and simple tax situation. To register for the tax clinic, contact Julia Campbell at 905-683-4000 x8809 or Julia.Campbell@ajaxlibrary.ca
- Sign up for the new Canadian Dental Care Plan.
- Learn about the Energy Affordability Program (EAP) and the Home Winterproofing Program (HWP), free programs to improve your household’s energy efficiency and help lower energy costs for income-eligible families.
